In the small town of Misty Falls, a worn-down church lies alone on the top of a hill. About two years ago, a priest by the name of John Blake built the church, for all the townspeople to share. It was a marvelous church, with bright marigold flowers surrounding the church, stain-glass windows, pure white walls, and "In the House of God, everyone is forgiven" just above the doorway. Unfortunately, three days after he finished his house, he fell sick, and while he was in the hospital, he was not visited once. He grew bitter, and on his second day in the hospital, he died a cold lonely death. At his funeral, only 1 person attended, whose identity was never known. A couple days after Blake's death, the words, "All shall perish by the wrath of God" were burned over the doorway, over the past inscription. The land around the church also turned bad; what used to be grass is now just all weeds and the flowers were now just brown, dead stems. All the townspeople have heard the legends of the church, and were all petrified to enter or get close to it. No one ever laid foot inside the church for two years, until one October night...

Meredith Moyer was an average woman. She was married to the love of her life, she had a dog, and she had a well-paying job. She was a school teacher, and she loved kids. She even hoped to have some of her own one day. She was a lovely person, but she had one fault: Meredith was afraid of the dark. In order to overcome her fear, she would cuddle with her husband everynight and fall asleep in his arms. One day she heard from her mother that a serial killer had escaped from the county jail and was currently roaming around near her city. Meredith became deeply upset by this. When she arrived at her home, she immediately remembered that her husband would be coming home late that night.

When Emma checked her mailbox after coming home from work, she found an old envelope with really old handwriting style. On the envelope was her name and nothing else. She took the envelope inside and started to open it. As she opens it, she was so surprised to see the handwriting on the envelope, it's the handwriting that she regcognize really well, the handwriting of her long-dead mother.

Out of this town is a road. A mile down that road there is a fork. Turn left on that fork you will be headed for another town. Take a right, and you will come to a forest. Continue down that road and there is a house, in the middle of a forest, a large one. The trees around the house have grown onto it, their roots intertwining with the floorboards. Through the years it has become part of the earth. Nobody knows what is in that house. Nobody has seen somebody leave it. Most of all nobody has ever entered. This is how it had been for as long as me, my father, and my grandfather had lived. Everbody knew it was there and if you looked into it you would find that the house was built in the 1800s buy a family named the ______ just some wealthy people who bought it and lived in the house throughout the 1800's, their children fought in both great wars, and that was where the family died off, the father died in the second world war. Two sons of that father were killed in an accident that involved a tractor, the third moved away to New York and died while driving drunk. The mother lived the rest of her life in sorrow for her family and died in the house when refusing to eat or drink. A couple years later a whole forest had grown around it, nobody knew how that was possible but it happened, trees as tall as redwoods had grown in a mere two years. and of course great tales of this house started to come about...

The steady rainfall came over the house on second street. The constant rumbling of thunder shook the night sky. (Insert name of character here)was alone in the house. Her parents were gone from the house to visit some friends. Her little brother was at a friend's house. No other people were in the house except her.

(I don't like coming up with names unless I know what I want.)

It was 4:00 on a Saturday when he heard a voice wake him up. He found himself shirtless and laying on the ground. He was unconscious before, but woke up and felt a sharp pain throughout his body. He felt around his body and could feel deep cuts. He opened his eyes and found himself in a grey room about 20 feet long and 15 feet wide. He also came to find that the cuts on his body were a series of numbers in a certain order. He saw a portion of a human head beside him. He then examined his surroundings and saw the other portion of the head a few feet away along with the rest of the body. The body was mangled with cuts all over it. He stook up and took a step only to feel his feet get penettrated by shards of glass. He fell to the ground shrieking in pain. He hears the voice again coming from somewhere in the room, but he doesnt know where...

It was a cloudy day when the children got on the bus. It was a Friday and everyone was ready to go home. Stuart ran to catch the bus but it was too late. The bus had sped by and left him alone on the corner of the sidewalk. All day, people at school were avoiding him. Even his best friend did not talk to him today. He started to walk home, the cold rain soaking through his flesh. He walked down the main road but there were no cars.

Audrey sat alone in her dark, stale room, reading as she did every night. On her bed with her lied her coffee colored cat with piercing green eyes. The only light given was from a small antique bedside lamp. As Audrey began to grow weary, her cat did as well. She placed the book down on the table, and reached for the light switch. She switched it. The light stayed on. Once more Audrey tried to turn it off, but no such luck the second time either. Exhausted as she was, she went to bed with the dim light still shining from the lamp. She pulled her thick covers up to her chin; even with all her windows closed the frigidity of winter could still be sensed. She fluffed her pillow and rest her head, when the light suddenly turned off.
Only an hour had passed when she was waken by harsh movement at the bottom of her bed. Audrey sat up and looked for what was causing the activity. Her cat was laying down where it had been before, but now shaking terribly as if someone was choking her. Audrey leaped out of bed and went to her cat’s aid. As she reached for her cat to calm her down, a hand grabbed hers with such a force she fell to the ground. Her eyes began to blur from the impact her head made with the floor. Audrey tried to look at what had thrown her down, but when she looked back at her bed, there was no one there, and her cat had already fallen back to sleep with a soft purring hum. Audrey climbed back in bed and pulled the covers back up. Her eyes beginning to close, the light flickered on and the shadow of a man stood above her.

Two guys and two girls in the late teens are headed to Dallas for a vaction of their lifetime.

"Alright who has any idea where we are?", asks Curtis.
"I have no idea where the hell we are, you're the one driving. I just know that we better get to Dallas before Suinday so we can watch them Chargers woop up on them Cowboys!", yelled David.
The four of them started to worry. The two girls, Janet and Desiree, looked at the map in the backseat to try to figure out where they were, but gave up after a couple of minutes. They knew they were on a one-way dirt road somewhere near or in Texas, but that was it. After a couple of minutes passed they saw a sign on the side of the road.
"Hey, did you see that sign? Ity read Pennyville, Texas-2 miles. I say we stop there and ask for directions", shouts out Janet with a slight bit of hope in her voice.
"There is no way I'm gonna stop at some random town in the middle of no where. Forget about it.", yelled back Curtis
"Yeah, I'm with him. Have you seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre? It's about a group of people who are in the middle of Texas and stop at some random town. The thing is they never left the town and instead were killed by the freak that lived there. We're not stopping!", said David.
"Ah, CRAP!", yells Curtis with anger in huis voice.
"What is it this time.", said Desiree.
"I'm out of gas. I'll walk to the town, get some gas, while you guys stay here. I'll even ask for directions.", explained Curtis.
David pulled the car to the side of the road and started walking. Hours passed, but he didn't come back.
"Where is he!", shouted Desiree.

Fear, like love or hate, is an emotion. It can fill a person and visibly change their judgment. It can wrap itself around a person and delve deep inside their human psyche. It can rattle in the depths of their soul. But one thing that fear, as an emotion, holds that reins high above other human emotions is that it can drive a person into madness.
The house held five generations of a single family. The Smith family had a running tradition. Every seeming random Friday that reigned high importance in their mind, they came into town to buy three meters of red ribbon. No one ever questioned that odd little quality of the seemingly normal family. Who would? They were perfectly normal, living a humble life in a humble town.

It was a crisp autumn evening in the small town of Fafels, the children giddy and excited for the upcoming holiday, setting up decorations, carving pumpkins, and purchasing goodies. Yet just outside of town, up in the hills, resided the Sholen family consisting of two boys; 19 year old Mark and his little brother, Joseph Sholen. This family struggled to make a living after a tragic car accident killed the boys' parents. Mark and his 6 year old brother Joseph were driving along the road toward the local costume shop. In their pale, rusty Volkswagen they heard the announcer on radio report, "Today we have a large thunder storm approaching so this will be a soggy Halloween, Right Tim?". Mark turned off the radio and said, " We better hurry and get you your costume Joey, before it rains." Joseph being impatient and explosive with energy repeatedly asked Mark " Hey brother are we there yeeeeeeeeeett?" Until finally Mark snapped back at him which had caused him to take his eyes of the road. When he glanced back at the road a figure cloaked with a fine dark robe became an obstacle of the path of the car. Mark took the wheel and swerved out of the way. He just missed yet he was oblivious to see the oncoming turn and they tumbled down, car and all. Plunging deeper, and deeper down into the forest. Joseph who reacted first screamed at the top of his lungs, while Mark who became dumbstruck after impact came to his senses and covered himself and his brother. Finally the car came to stop by rolling into a large oak tree. The roof of the car sprung up and smoke began fuming out of it. Mark realized that Joseph stopped yelling. He checked and found him lying down unconscious. He opened the car to see how far they rolled. Thunder boomed as it started raining. Mark tried going back up the hill but slipped and slid back down hill. "Oh man how we gonna get back, Joey, oh SHOOT forgot bout him". Mark dashed back to find Joey missing. "JOEY THIS ISN'T FUNNY YOU GET BACK HERE NOW" shouted Mark. Panicking now, Mark ran through the forest calling out Joey's name. "JOEY, JOEY, JOEY CAN YOU HEAR ME!" Mark suddenly heard a faint scatter in the bushes. He turned and crept toward the bushes. Mark whispered, "Joey is that you?" He pushed through the bushes to find a small cottage with the door opened. Then he saw something in the window. A silhouette of a small person in the curtain. Mark ran into the cottage to find that it wasn't his brother but....... What a Face

In the cold, moonless night, Sarah woke. All the sheets of her bed were pushed off, and she found herself curled in a little ball at the corner of the bed. Getting up to go to the bathroom, she looked out her window to see a thick fog coming through the forest surrounding her family's "getaway" cabin. Out the window, she could see the small shapes of gravestones from the nearby town's graveyard, silhouetted by the incoming fog. Shuddering at the eerie sight, Sarah went to the restroom, and came back to bed when she finished. Tucking herself back into bed, she slowly began to drift into a deep sleep.

"We're lost, aren't we?" said Henrietta.
"Of course not. We're just taking an unexpected route to the concert hall." replied Rico.
"We're going to be late. You know how Mr. Lauro is when these kinds of things happen." said Henrietta.
Henrietta and Rico were both members of the Civic Youth Orchestra and tonight was the night of an important concert. Henrietta was the concert mistress and an essential part of the concert. It would be a disaster if they were late.
Presently, they were walking down the street three blocks away from the concert hall. It was 7:27 and the concert began at 7:30. Taking notice of the time, Henrietta and Rico picked up the pace.
Meanwhile, at the concert hall, the last guests had already arrived and were seated.
"Where are Henrietta and Rico?! We're almost about to start!" said Mr. Lauro, impatiently.
Two blocks away from the concert hall, Henrietta and Rico were running. They were wearing their formal clothes and running would ruin their look but there was only one minute left until it began.
"I blame you for getting us lost!" Henrietta said to Rico.
"What? Why?"
"Because you dragged me along on your 'shortcut'!"
Now Henrietta could see the concert hall. Seventeen seconds left.
"We're not gonna make it!" exclaimed Rico.
Three… Two… One… and they were late. Rico and Henrietta stood in front of the concert hall, both panting heavily.
"Uh… Let's go in." said Henrietta.
"Okay."
Henrietta turned the doorknob and peered inside.
"Huh? Nobody is here. The lights are out. Are we somehow early?" Henrietta said.
"I dunno. Maybe there's a power outage or something." replied Rico.
They stepped slowly into the dark room. There was no noise save the sound of traffic outside and their footsteps inside.
"HELLO?! IS ANYBODY HERE?!" shouted Rico. Only his echo replied.
"This is seriously starting to freak me out. What if we were so late that the entire concert was cancelled? It'd be our entire fault (yours mostly)!!" said Henrietta in a shrill voice.
"Hold on. Maybe we came on the wrong day. What day is it? (And it's your fault for following me!)" replied Rico.
"The flyer says October 8! That's today!" said Henrietta in a loud voice.
"Whatever. Let's just go inside." replied Rico.
Rico pushed open the door to the performance room.
"Oh….. My…… Gawd….." whispered Rico.
"Wh- What is it!?" Henrietta whispered back.
"Look!" said Rico, pointing into the room.

"The lights are out……….. It looks like no ones here." said Rico.

" GOSH, JUST DON'T TALK TO ME FOR A WHILE. I NEED TIME TO MYSELF FOR ONCE!" Isaac Robinson ran outside his house from yet another fight with his mom. It was a hard time for 15-year-old Isaac becuase of his parents recent divorce...and becauseof a little secret he has now been keeping from everyone for the past 5 days, but wasnt quite ready to tell anyone yet. He was sitting out on his curb at exactly 10:27 at night in front of his house staring right up the street to an old maintanence-needed house, one that no ever cared for. He lived two doors down from this house and his little secret had alot to do with the old man that lived there. A chill suddenly scurried down Isaac's back and he ran right back into his house and sat on his bed thinking, and later apoligized to his mom for everything they've been through lately. The next morning he woke up and as soon as Isaac lazily made his way down stairs, his mom greeted him with a "Issac did you know that the old man that lived two doors up in the old, broken down house, past away about five days ago and no one knows what from. " Isaac just stared and didn't know what to think, but out of the many thoughts that was running through his mind, was that he wans't sure if he should tell his mom that he witnessed the death of old Mr. Johnson.

Jane Anderson was a 28 year old woman who could change the atmosphere of a room by simply entering it. She was positive, energetic and outgoing. However, all her friends would simply laugh when they would say she could never be afraid.
One morning, Jane slowly drove her rental car, a new silver Ford, down a road where identical faded russet brick houses lined the town of Hazelwood, South Carolina. The weather had drastically changed within the last few days; the winds were growing, the sky was gray and gloomy and the air had turned from a comfortable warm to a crisp cold. The town, no doubt, was sinister and disturbing. The town had basic marks every town consisted of; a grocery store, a clothing store, a bakery, a high school, restaurants, and work offices. However, the place had one imperfection; there were no people. It was as if the people living in the town had simply disappeared. Lights were turned on in houses. Machines in the warehouses were on and pumping, and even ovens containing the ashes of burned bread were still hot. Jane was traveling back to the airport after visiting with her grandmother in a small town nearly fifty miles away. Lost on a detour road, Jane stumbled upon the small town, and having a few hours to kill before her flight back to New Jersey, Jane decided to check it out. The air, Jane noticed, had become thicker and colder when she rolled down her window once entering the skeptical town.
The look of abandonment in the sinister town forced Jane’s adrenaline to immediately rush. Without hesitation, she made a u-turn and planed to find the main road again. Only about ten seconds after making a u-turn, her car stuttered and stopped. The empty light for gas blinked dark red. She cursed the car in futility, and smacked the steering wheel in anger. She opened her door and realized she was stopped in the middle of an intersection. When Jane suddenly looked up, after being buried in her thoughts, she noticed a faint sound. The sound was high pitched and almost sounded if it was a long shriek. The sound disappeared for a few seconds, but then returned, louder and more constant. It again paused, only to soon return a few seconds later louder. Jane could barely concentrate, she felt as if she was going crazy. Her eyes burned and blurred, and she screamed. The noise had become so loud it drowned her thoughts. She began shaking uncontrollably. When she turned around, she saw it. The creature.

WHen they reach there with there tour guide all of them find the island a little weird, not like any other islands. The tour guide also playing the role of a guard, walks off to find a place for shelter. It had been quite a long time but there was no sign of the tour guide. INTRODUCTION:
No one in town would ever dare to cross the deserted bridge over the river. Even if they were lost in the woods, and couldn't find their way back to the main road, and the bridge was the closet way back to civilization, everyone in town would risk the chance of being lost in the woods longer then cross the deserted bridge. The shabby looking bridge, built long ago over the rushing waters of the river as what would have been the main entrance to head into town at the time, was now long deserted and left alone. Ever since the incident that happened one Halloween night, that everyone in town has been afraid of heaing near that way. The bridge is known through out town as Johnny's Bridge. When the town had first started out, there lived a little boy and his family. Everyone in town thought he was kind of weird and creepy. He was always talking to himself and talking about demons and Satan. He was believed to be hearing evil voices inside his head. Everyone thought he was kind of crazy. No one in town felt comfortable around him. Everyone in fact was pretty much afriad of him. Johnny's family had moved away from the town and close to the bridge to prevent any more gossiping going around town about Johnny. Johnny was locked up and was seldom let outside after the family had moved. No one ever really saw Johnny ever since. Over time, people had forgotten all about Johnny and his abnormalites until that one Halloween Night. Someone coming in from town noticed something hanging on the bridge. Curious of what the object was, they went to go check it out. To their disgust and surprise, it was the bodies of Johnny's mother and father. News of this reached town the next day, and the bodies were taken down from the bridge. People tried finding Johnny but he was no where to be seen. The abscence of Johnny's body hanging on the bridge and his disappearance made everyone believe it was him who did it. Ever since that Halloween Night, bodies of his victims have been hanging every Halloween. Everyone still thinks he's out there crazy as ever.
BEGINNING OF MY STORY:
The sun had sunk behind the hills, and darkness had fallen so quickly and so suddenly. It was the darkest nights of all nights, and you could barely see anything. You couldn't see your own hand even if you put it in front of you. Thick heavy fog was rolling in. The night sky was blurred out by the fog, the moonlit sky could not be seen. Two wandering and very unfortunate travellers were making their way to visit a family member in a small town. The fog was making it extremely difficult for them to see and make their way towards the family members house. Everything was going perfectly well until the fog started rolling in. That was when the misfortunes of the two travellers began...

In the small town of Westingville, there are strange things that happen at night.
A single road connected Westingville to the world; it went through the town and kept going on for about three hourse until it put you in the city. There was a boy who lived in this town, Jeremy Wrye was 16 and one of the 40 high school students in Westingville. Jeremy played football, but there were only 17 other players on the team. Jennifer Walsh, also 16, was Jeremy's girlfriend and she worked at the only ice cream shop in town. jennifer's mother, Mrs. Walsh, was bedstricken with pnuemounea. Her father, Mr. Walsh, had to take care of his wife and could not work to support the family, so Jennifer's small paycheck was all that they could rely on.

At the edge of a small lake, deep in the northern reaches of the world, a man sat whittling away at a piece of wood. He lived in an old cottage nearby and during the day he made carved toy people out of the oak and sold them to the children who lived nearby. Everyone liked him in the small town and on particularily cold winters sometimes the people would go out to check on him. But every so often a child would disapear, and next to the house, carved into the tree, would be their likeness. He told the villagers he carved the busts in memorial, and so life continued. But during the nights, he could still hear them scream.

Mr. and Mrs. Swanson lived in the nursing home together. They were a very close, loving couple and were inseperable. Since Mrs. Swanson's stroke, she needed daily medical attention so she was put in the nursing home. Mr Swanson loved his wife so much, that he moved in with her. They both lived in that sixth room together.

Do we have to? Yes Sabrina we go every year and its not going to change. Fifteen year old Sabrina Dobson hated visiting her uncles Cheds house every first week of summer. This year luckily she got to bring along best friend Angela. When she was younger she loved it because her cousin Tina was always there to keep her company but this year Tina went off to college. So it would be just her and Angela. They got to the house around five the door was already open. They go in "CHED WHERE ARE YOU!!!" They looked downstairs for a good 15 minutes. all od sudden there was a long scream. affraid

Suzy and Bobby were taking their first trip into the country and had rented a nice little house for the weekend. They had taken a train in, and now the couple had been dropped off by a taxi, after about an hour drive, in front of what seemed to be a fairly cozy house. The two happily went inside and began unpacking, but were upset to find that there would be no time for hiking as it was quickly growing dark.

It was late at night when Kelly and Ben left from their high school prom, they didn't want to go home right away so they decided to drive around. It was way past midnight and the streets were bare, only the full moon could be seen. In the car, Kelly and Ben were having fun telling each other stories about what happened at the prom when all of a sudden the car broke down. There was no one is sight and the closest building was located eight miles away. They were stuck and didn't know what to do. Since Ben was a good runner, he suggested for him to run to get help. Seeing that this was the only way, Kelly agreed to stay and wait with the car.

In the odd, moonless night, Todd woke. All the sheets of his bed were pushed off, and he found himself curled in a little ball at the cornder of the bed. Getting up to go to the bathroom, he looked out the window to see a thick fog coming through the forest surrounding his family's "gettaway" cabin. Looking deep into the fog, he could make out the faint shapes of headstones from the nearby town's graveyard. Shuddering at the eerie sight, Todd went to the restroom and came back when he finished.
